Unfortunatly most of us have moved away from cod4, but certainly not all.
If you're looking for friends to play cod4 with be sure to get in contact with members like Baddy and Ossacz (private message them maybe?). Nowadays it is mostly 1.7 though, so make sure that u have that.
Furthermore we do have a promod server on 1.7 (85.236.102.2:28960) but it might be too empty nowadays. On top of that it contains some non-regulatory promod maps, which are nice but not enjoyed by everyone. If there is a big interest then i'll try and find some time to sort out the map rotation.

Besides that I would say have fun playing cod4 and if u are in search of friends in other games as well, just ask around

a mix isnt a public match where everyone can join (its competetive SnD)
it takes place on a match server that is password locked (u can rent them for no Money in the internet)
its in general a 5v5 match or 4v4 it depends on what u are looking for (2v2 also possible)

As you might be able to tell, I don't play CoD4 that much anymore. It's still the best fps I've had the pleasure of playing, but the communities I liked are no longer active there.

Hey zebra, the mixes ossa are on about are ones filled with cheaters, your best bet is to play cybergamer if you feel confident. There is 10s of mixers at any given point on the day, there are many French players still playing but Usally play around 7 or 8 till very late, Cybergamer have introduced a new league called "cg one night cup).
It gets around 16 teams but around 6 are a no show(don't turn up) there are many LANs up coming his year and next year, so in all cod 4 is not quite dead yet as the competitive base it doing their absolute best to keep it alive.

Actually the mixes are not filled with cheaters, the level of the casual players is just shit #shotsfired

Good thing in .wars mixes is that u can leave if you feel like, and you can get yourself mixed pretty easily. You can see if the enemy or some of your teammates are cheating and just leave and get mixed in some other game.
